Season: 03 – Episode: 15,
Description: This was my last episode of The Rockin’ Pop Party on Sky 106, so I didn’t follow the traditional format of the show. There was no “Between the Sheets: Cover Comparison” or “The Rockin’ Hour in History”, but there was a lot of listener feedback and requests. Overall, there was plenty of tunes from the 50s right on up to today. Nevertheless, I hope you enjoy it and stay tuned for more announcements on where you can catch the show live in the coming weeks!
Join me this Saturday, (May 28th, 2016) for my last show on Sky 106! This will also end season 3 of The Rockin’ Pop Party as well. I’ll be playing a lot of celebratory tunes in honor of my time at Sky 106 as I end this season and start Season 4 on a new station very soon! Your involvement and participation in my last show on Sky 106 would be appreciated! I’ll have the studio line open and won’t even be following the usual format of the show. That’s right! There won’t be a “Between the Sheets: Cover Comparison” or “The Rockin’ Hour in History” for this show, but I’ll be playing EVERYTHING you want to hear! Whether you want to hear rock, pop or country, from today to even something years and years ago, I’ll honor your requests and dedications for this special occasion! So, do call in, share memories, make requests and more, as you’re more than welcome to! This special show again begins this Saturday at 4:00pm Eastern on Sky 106. I really do hope you’ll join me for this audacious event and celebrate the end of season 3 and the last show on Sky 106, as well as the new beginning of The Rockin’ Pop Party coming soon!
In the next few weeks, HUGE changes are coming to The Rockin’ Pop Party! I feel it’s not yet time to share these details, but I can tell you that it will forever change the show.
Beginning sometime after the Memorial Day weekend, I’ll be prematurely starting ‘Season 4′ of The Rockin’ Pop Party, because these changes are to big to start midway through the current season. The format of the show won’t change that much and all future episodes of The Rockin’ Pop Party that normally happen through the year will still happen. When “season 4” of The Rockin’ Pop Party begins, each season will be broken up in to two parts, similar to the way your favorite TV series works, where they have a ‘mid-season’ hiatus.
All discussed ideas of future episodes of The Rockin’ Pop Party will still happen this year, like the episode that gets ‘Countryfried’ in August, the “Under the Covers Edition” that I do with Mz. M in September, The ‘spooktacular’ “Halloween Edition” in October and of course, “The Rockin’ ‘Around the Christmas Tree’ Pop Party” before the winter holidays! I can’t divulge dates at this time, but do think the rest of the year will be amazing!
All that being said, this may impact my annual event I do every year, “The Rockin’ ‘Top100’ Pop Party” in January. Will it happen in 2017? I have no idea at this point. I will of course keep you all up-to-date of any changes.
That’s all the news I can disclose at this time, but again I will share more details as soon as I can! Thank you all for reading this bit of announcements and I will talk to you all soon!
So, this past March, the video and audio students in the ‘Media Arts & Technologies’ department at Mount Wachusett Community College were suppose to take part in filming a concert, hosted by the band 9Teen. Unfortunately, the concert was cancelled, but we did do a video shoot and recorded the audio for an ‘online brochure’ of what it is the department does. The official video has not yet been released, but the songs they performed in the video shoot have been digitally mastered and finalized.
The band mostly did 60 to 90 second shorts, but one song they performed on this video shoot was the entire medley of “Golden Slumbers” from the ‘Abbey Road’ album by The Beatles. I threw up the video on YouTube to take a look at it. The still images in the video are some shots I took at the shoot and rehearsal, that happened the night before.
When I get news about the official video being released, I’ll make it available on my website, as there’s a good possibility I may have been featured in the video at least once. Nevertheless, I hope you enjoy this track by 9Teen and very much appreciate your feedback.
